 धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) ऐसे छिद्र जिसके सहारे गैस तथा जलवाष्प निकला करती है, उन्हें धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) कहा जाता है I इनका सीधा सम्बन्ध ज्वालामुखी क्रिया से होता है I वास्तव में धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) ज्वालामुखी क्रिया के अंतिम लक्षण माने जाते हैI  धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) का शाब्दिक अर्थ  धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ), लैटिन भाषा के फूमस ( Fumus ) का अर्थ धुँआ होता है और Fumaroles उसी से उत्पन्न हुआ है I   धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) से निस्सृत पदार्थ  धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) से निकलने वाले वाष्प का तापमान बहुत अधिक होता है I इनसे निकलने वाले गैस तथा जलवाष्प का तापमान 645 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक होता है I धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) से निकलने वाले पदार्थो में जलवाष्प की मात्रा 98-99 % तक होती है I धुँआरे ( Fumarनिकलने वाली गैसों में कार्बन डाई ऑक्साइड, नाइट्रोजन, ऑक्सीजन, अमोनिया, हाइड्रोजन सल्फाइड एवं हाइड्रोजन क्लोराइड मुख्य गैसे है I इसके आलावा एक महत्तवपूर्ण खनिज गन्धक भी पाया जाता है I  ऐसे धुँआरे ( Fumaroles ) जिनसे बहुत अधिक मात्रा में गन्धक निकलता है, उन्हें सोल्फ़तारा कहा जाता है ...
